Privacy
This page explains what the Solvern Consulting website collects, why, and how to opt out. In short: we use two analytics tools to understand how the site is used, we don't run contact forms, and we never sell your data.

What this policy covers
This policy applies to the website at solvern.com.au. It doesn't cover third-party sites we link to — for example, an external booking page — which have their own privacy policies.
Information we collect
You don't need to give us any personal information to browse this site. There are no contact forms and no account sign-ups. The only data collected automatically is standard website analytics:
- Which pages you view and how you move between them.
- Approximate location (country or city), derived from your IP address.
- Device, browser, operating system and screen size.
- How you interact with a page — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — captured as anonymised session recordings and heatmaps.
If you email us or use a booking link, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email address and message. We use that only to respond to you.
Cookies
Our analytics tools set cookies and use similar browser storage to recognise return visits and measure usage. They aren't required for the site to work — you can block or delete them in your browser settings without losing any functionality.
The analytics tools we use
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — aggregate traffic and usage measurement. See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — anonymised session replay and heatmaps that show where the site is confusing or slow. Clarity masks text you type into fields by default. See the Microsoft privacy statement.
Both process this data on our behalf, and we use it only to improve the site — never to identify you personally.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability.
Where your data goes
Google and Microsoft are global companies and may process and store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By using this site you consent to that transfer. We do not sell, rent or trade your data to anyone.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser.
- Turn on "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control if your browser supports it.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above.
- Use your browser's private or incognito mode.
Your rights
If we hold any personal information about you — for example, from an email you sent us — you can ask to access or correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@solvern.com.au and we'll action reasonable requests. If you're not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our data practices change, and revise the "last updated" date above.
