Solvern Consulting is an independent technical consultancy for internal IT teams and MSPs. We bring senior scoping experience from both sides of the table — inside IT departments and alongside managed service providers — to one question: what's actually worth doing?
Why Solvern exists
The project that gets funded is rarely the one that fixes the problem
We've spent years on both sides of the IT scoping table — inside internal IT teams building the case for (or against) major spend, and alongside MSPs scoping work for their clients. The same pattern kept showing up, and it's the reason Solvern exists.
So we do the diagnosis first. We establish what's actually happening, put a clear verdict in writing, and size the fix to the problem that's really there — sometimes that's a large project, more often it's something smaller than the original quote.
Independence
Structured to stay impartial
Solvern holds no reseller agreements and takes no product or licence commissions. The recommendation you get is the one we'd make if it were our own budget on the line — which is the entire point of bringing in an outside view.
We're Perth-based and work with clients nationally. Most engagements run remotely, with on-site time by arrangement for workshops or infrastructure review.
